When Douglas Lamption finds the Strike-a-Match Company's classified ad in a magazine, he decides to order a wife. On one condition. That his younger brother, Edwin, order one too. However, Edwin isn't exactly comfortable with the idea. To get hitched, Douglas follows his plans without a hitch while poor Edwin is plagued with all sorts of hitches-including a pretty cook, a devious cowboy and two orphaned children.
